The Past 8 days

I only have one word for it...
SNOW!

This is Mom and Dad's home.

Notice the railing on their porch.

Now look at the railing. The snow won't quit.

I took Dad for a ride in the countryside around Glasgow.
It has been the most snow in history and I was here.

Guess what?? I love it!

Fun date with lots of spaghetti

Date #5 was a lot of fun. AJB is one smart little blondie!

I had to stop at the dollar store and she asked if she could pick something. She picked out a tiny New Testament. We had some good conversation punctuated with several bouts of the giggles. The girl is a hoot!

Mixed Message

I was in Minneapolis for the past week and I went into a K-Mart and was greeted with this:

I don't know...Merry Halloween? Happy Christmas?

How not to make a princess cake

This was a very cute princess cake and the "how to" shown on Bake-a-holic's blog.

This is Becky's FAMOUS try at a Barbie cake. Later entitled "Hooker Barbie".

The doll was way too tall. (She bought the cheapest one.) So after 10 pounds of frosting disguised as a dress, she brought it to her niece's birthday;
thus ending Becky's career as a cake decorator.

Suburbs for me, please.

Chet lined up an appointment for us to visit the new City Creek Condos downtown. I wanted to see if I could ever live downtown. I had pictured us living out our golden years within walking distance of everything CITY: plays, Temple, Jazz games, restuarants... but actually seeing the condos was a big disappointment to me. It sort of felt like staying at the "Residence Inn." This condo is listed at almost 2 million dollars, and botton line: I felt hemmed in.

Here is a third floor view of Temple Square.

I came home and ran through the sprinklers and felt so happy to have my own grass.

You be the judge

I told Birdie she looked just like her mother and she told me I looked just like her Dog. That's a two year old for you.
